The objectives of the course are:
- to improve awareness on the social media diversity;
- to achieve understanding about media response;
- to know about the key elements of media management on board;
- basic principles of media management;
- crisis communications and social media.
After successfully passing the training program, the trainee should:
- be aware of social media diversity;
- have knowledge of social media tools;
- be able to use the main points of media management on board;
- be aware of how the media operates – understanding the media’s attitude and perspective towards the maritime industry.
Entry Standards for admission to the training course are:
- Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate, or Certificate of Proficiency (according to the requirement of the specific fields as defined by the international or national regulations);
- Seamen’s book, Civil passport, or ID.
