- ask for and give personal data
- describe the routine work of the Engine Department, duties & responsibilities of Engine personnel
- discuss the detailed description of diesel engine types and diagrams for its working principles, construction, operation and maintenance, scavenging, fuel oil system, cooling system
- name types of vessels, cabins, and accommodation
- identify the location and purpose of safety equipment discuss aspects of safety and risk in the workplace; give warnings and advice concerning safe working practice on board; types of drills; take actions to avoid potential risks at work; talk about survival procedures and the ways to prevent pollution at sea
In order to enter into the presented training program, trainee must represent:
- Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency;
- Seamen’s book or Civil passport or ID;
- Medical Certificate or medical certificate form 100 (for coastal water area seafarers’).
