
After successfully passing the training program, the trainee should:
- Understand the structure and functions of the MAN B&W ME;
- Be able to identify the correct operating procedures for operating the ME-C engine;
- Gain knowledge of the electronic control system, fuel injection mechanisms, and exhaust gas management;
- Learn about the transition from mechanical to electronically controlled systems and its benefits, including lower emissions and enhanced fuel efficiency;
- Apply maintenance best practices to enhance engine efficiency and longevity;
- Identify operational problems and troubleshooting;
- Have ability of logical decision-making which promotes operational safety.
Entry Standards for admission to the training course are:
- Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate, or Certificate of Proficiency (according to the requirement of the specific fields as defined by the international or national regulations);
- Seamen’s book, Civil passport, or ID.
