After completing this course, the trainee will be able to:
- understand the fundamental concepts of machinery equipment;
- recognize component symbols and their construction, functioning and applications;
- identify symbols, trace and analyze circuit diagrams and troubleshoot machinery systems logically;
- learn through sharing of experiences amongst participants.
In order to enter into the presented training program, trainee must represent:
- Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency;
- Seamen’s book or Civil passport or ID;
- Medical Certificate or medical certificate form 100 (for coastal water area seafarers’);
- Entry to the course is open to trainees with basic background and knowledge and to marine engineers who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of the operation of the machinery of a modern merchant ship.
