At the completion of the course, students should be able to accumulate following Knowledge:
- know how to use instrumentation and controls used in the engine rooms of modern merchant ships;
- be aware of the need for proper pre-planning, the use of checklists, and the timescale involved in starting up propulsion plant machinery;
- identify operational problems and troubleshoot;
- have the ability of logical decisionmaking which promotes operational safety
In order to enter into the presented training program, trainee must represent:
- Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency;
- Seamen’s book or Civil passport or ID;
- Medical Certificate or medical certificate form 100 (for coastal water area seafarers’).
