At the completion of the course, students should be able to accumulate following Knowledge:
- know about the basic principles of the Ballast Water Management Convention;
- be aware of developing, implementing, and following a Ballast Water Management plan;
- have knowledge of Ballast Water Management options;
- will know about sediment control and its handling;
- will be aware of roles and responsibilities within Ballast Water Management;
- know about the Ballast Water Treatment Technologies;
- will be able to use sampling and monitoring onboard;
- will know about port state obligations, as well as regional and national regulations.
In order to enter into the presented training program, trainee must represent:
- Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency;
- Seamen’s book or Civil passport or ID;
- Medical Certificate or medical certificate form 100 (for coastal water area seafarers’).
