Training Program covers the requirements of the STCW Convention.

Passing the Theoretical part of training program, trainee must:

  • Be familiar to fire-fighting organization;
  • Be familiar to emergency exits;
  • Be familiar in fire fighting and explosion elements (fire triangle);
  • Be familiar to ignition causes;
  • Be familiar in different burning materials, danger of fire, and it’s spreading;
  • To be familiar in non-stop watch keeping importance;
  • To be familiar in action to prevent fire on board;
  • To be familiar in fire and smoke detecting systems;
  • To be familiar in fire classes and extinguishing agents;
  • To be familiar in fire fighting equipment and its location on board;
  • To be familiar in fixed fire fighting;
  • To be familiar in firefighter’s outfit parts;
  • To be familiar in personal equipment;
  • To be familiar to fire fighting equipment;
  • To be familiar to different fire fighting methods and procedures;
  • To be familiar in using of breathing apparatus in case of fire fighting and rescue operations.

Passing the Practical part of training program, trainee must:

  • Be able to prevent fire on board;
  • Be able to recognize different emergency sound signals and react to these signals;
  • Be able to use different types of portable fire extinguishers (foam, powder, CO2);
  • Be able to use breathing apparatus;
  • Be able to extinguish big fires using water (jet and spray);
  • Be able to extinguish fires with foam, powder or other chemical substances;
  • Be able to pass the compartment full of foam with safety line, but without breathing apparatus;
  • Be able to extinguish fires in enclosed spaces using breathing apparatus;
  • Be able to extinguish fire with water mist in compartment full of smoke or in engine room.

In order to enter into the presented training program, trainee must represent:

  • Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency;
  • Seamen’s book or Civil passport or ID;
  • Medical Certificate or medical certificate form 100(for coastal water area seafarers’).
