Behavioural Competency & Verification

After successfully passing the training program, the trainee should:

• be aware of the background and need for behavioural competency assessment;
• have familiarisation with the behavioural competency assessment and criteria;
• have knowledge of conducting an effective assessment;
• be aware of self-reflection and verification of individual skills as an assessor;
• develop tools required to carry out an effective behavioural assessment on board.

Entry Standards for admission to the training course are:

• Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate, or Certificate of Proficiency (according to the requirement of the specific fields as defined by the international or national regulations);
• Seamen’s book, Civil passport, or ID.
