  • use English in written and oral form in general maritime communication
  • ask for and give personal data
  • describe the routine work of the Engine Department, duties & responsibilities of Engine personnel
  • discuss the detailed description of diesel engine types and diagrams for its working principles, construction, operation and maintenance, scavenging, fuel oil system, cooling system
  • name types of vessels, cabins, and accommodation
  • identify the location and purpose of safety equipment discuss aspects of safety and risk in the workplace; give warnings and advice concerning safe working practice on board; types of drills; take actions to avoid potential risks at work; talk about survival procedures and the ways to prevent pollution at sea

 

 

 

In order to enter into the presented training program, trainee must represent:

 

  • Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency;
  • Seamen’s book or Civil passport or ID;
  • Medical Certificate or medical certificate form 100 (for coastal water area seafarers’).
