Vessel Food Sanitation


Successfully passing training program trainee should:

  • Be responsible for the food handling;
  • Know the food service facilities;
  • Know and is able to classify food into Non-refrigerated and refrigerated items;
  • Know the equipment, illuminations requirement in the galley (ship’s kitchen);
  • Have knowledge about washing facilities;
  • Know the aspects of liquid transport and potable water;
  • Be able to manage the disposal of liquid and solid wastes;
  • Know the aspects of Sanitary inspection of vessels premises, especially the galley.


In order to enter into the presented training program, trainee must represent:

  • Certificate of Competency, Education Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency;
  • Seamen’s book or Civil passport or ID;

Medical Certificate form #100 (for coastal water area seafarers’).
